Love who you are

The phrase body positivity has made its way through our culture, promoting acceptance of yourself no matter what you look like. While that has incited incredible change in how people view themselves, I much prefer a more recent phrase: body neutrality. It focuses less on pushing a blanket of positivity towards yourself at all times, and more on allowing you to sit with your negative thoughts.

I love this mindset, and I think it goes so far beyond physical appearance. You will take your own unique journey towards loving yourself; you should never compare yourself to others’ paths. With neutrality in mind, you can love yourself exactly as you are even when the view isn’t so positive. There are days when my mind just won’t allow me to focus or my body seems to morph into something that no clothes look good on. But it's okay for my mind and body to not be at 100%. Being human is to be imperfect.

I hope this design says all of that to you. I want you to carry around the idea everyday! Loving who you are means loving every part of you, including both the good and the bad. It all makes you,you.
