Happy

Story

When you're a kid, happiness seems to bubble out of you at all times; a running sprinkler was a reason to smile or a soft blanket brought so much comfort with its warmth. Happiness really did live in our hearts. I believe that it always stays there, it may just be more difficult to bring out as we grow older.

Recently, I’ve chosen to make that joy more instinctive. By training myself to push my feelings towards positivity, I found less frustration in daily tasks that used to drag me down. When I spent three hours assembling two simple chairs, I really did get dragged down by sitting on the seat and falling straight through it. I hit the ground hard but I could only laugh at how silly it felt. This cursed chair had continued to fight me at every step! It should have frustrated me (some of those feelings were there) but my first reaction wasn’t negative. Choosing to laugh at myself made it so much easier to continue the process and eventually both chairs were fully assembled.

I feel like I’ve tapped into the childhood happiness that sometimes gets buried so deep in our hearts. When you look down at the adorable rainbows and stars on this design, I want you to remember those feelings of joy. That happiness is always inside of you, so use Happy At Heart as an invitation to express in the simple moments of life.
